Nkomazi residents set murder suspect’s house on fire

After a week behind bars, the accused was released, which resulted in some community members expressing their dissatisfaction with violence.

A few hours after he was released from court, a 60-year-old accused of murder found himself homeless, as some community members had allegedly gone on a rampage and torched his house and workshop.

The suspect allegedly shot and killed a 78-year-old man in KaMhlushwa before he handed himself over to the police.

He spent a week behind bars for murder.

The suspect was taken to court on November 13, but his case was not enrolled and as a result he was released a free man.
