Mpumalanga’s Asikhulume and Heal talk show a great success

There were various professionals who gave advice to the guests on issues such as mental health, healing, seeking help, and how to tackle relationships issues.

A safe place to open up about emotional issues while getting advice from professionals was created during the Asikhulume and Heal talk show.
This much-loved annual event was held at the Emnotweni Arena on Saturday September 30.

The talk show platform was created by author, and life and business coach, Rinkie Maphosa-Gama, and she invited various professionals to be part of a panel that gave advice to the guests. As per the theme of the day, the guests came dressed in bright colours.

This show allowed women and men to share their experiences about mental health, how to tackle relationships issues, healing, seeking help, and finding solutions for issues contributing to stress, depression and other mental health risks.

Maphosa-Gama said healing is one of the most important journeys in life. She urged people to be considerate and stop spreading bad news or lies about others as they go through their healing process.

“Healing is a process. If it takes me five years to heal, do not judge me, my healing process and yours is not the same.”
During the show, one of the questions asked was, “How would you feel if your close friend dates your partner immediately after you break up with your partner?”

The guests had various views regarding this matter and it was a topic discussed openly. The professionals shared their views and some guests gave personal experiences.
