She is seen gracing the biggest of stages in Mpumalanga and hosting such events as the Mpumalanga Gospel Music Awards and Indumiso Yase Mpumalanga.

Triumph Mbiva is a powerhouse. She is a wife, mother, entrepreneur, transformational speaker, presenter, television producer and the co-founder of T&T Multimedia.

This all-rounder said she is living her dream as a multimedia personality.

“I always wanted to be on TV in whatever form. There was a time I pursued acting, just to appear on the screen as an extra. As much as I love drama, I love poetry. I used to write a lot to express myself during difficult times, and even landed the opportunity to recite my poems on Ligwalagwala FM. A love of radio also grew from there, and I had a chance to host shows on Ligwalagwala FM and Bushbuckridge Radio,” she said.

Brought up in Justicia, a village in Bushbuckridge, by her grandparents, Mbiva is looked up to by many young girls. She grew up in an impoverished background and had to fend for herself post-matric. Her story is a motivation to never give up on your dreams.

She became a waitress in Mbombela and White River after failing her matric. “At that moment in my life, I felt as if my name did not suit me. I did all my best to make ends meet as an 18-year-old, renting a backroom in Ngodini. A visit to Johannesburg changed my whole life, which paved the way to what I am today.”

She said entering Mrs South Africa in 2019 was the biggest push to not just be a beauty, but one with brains, and a job creator.

“Being part of the competition introduced me to bigger dreams I never thought I had, and to be able to open up to attract exactly what I want. It also improved my public speaking and groomed me for all the motivational speaking and MCing I have done and have yet to do.”

She said the aim now is to give young women hope and encourage others to never give up on their dreams. “There is pain in the process of self-development. Just take away the distractions that keep you away from achieving those dreams,” she said.
