Women enjoy informative conference in Mbombela

Nosipho Hadebe, the organiser of this spring conference, said she wanted women to be able to empower one another while learning new things.

On a quest to restore and empower women, the Qalakabusha Basadi Foundation brought local women together during its Izimbali Zesizwe Spring Conference at Ndalo Lodge on September 9.

Nosipho Hadebe, the organiser, said they invited various speakers who had something unique to share. “There were businesswomen who went through a lot to get to where they are, and they all had topics they discussed. The aim was to inspire, because as women, we tend to depend on men.”

Two lucky women received equipment to start their own businesses.

Hadebe said she started this foundation for women who need support.

“It is women who are misdirected, those who need someone to look up to. This is our first event, and we are planning to host the next one. We will offer self-defence classes too, so they will be able to defend themselves.”
Hadebe said the guests were invited to attend the event for free, and the foundation also provided transport.
