As a way to end off Women’s Month, various businesswomen around the city and surrounds gathered for Absa’s Women in Business Breakfast at the Capital Mbombela on Wednesday August 30.
The theme was building a business legacy. The women, who filled an arena, dressed in their brightly coloured outfits and mingled and networked with fellow business professionals. There was entertainment galore with music from award-winning musician Phumla Music and local poet Silandzile Thwala.

Various professionals had the opportunity to be keynote speakers regarding certain topics, such as mental health by Dr Gugu Makome, law and legal education by Nomfundo Madonsela, who is a director at Seymore, Du Toit and Basson Inc., and a special word of encouragement by business mogul, Dr Norah Fakude-Nkuna.

The aim of the networking session was to create a platform for female business owners to vocalise their experiences and offer new modern ways to grow businesses and information about capital and funding.
