Mbombela’s young entrepreneurs get down to the nitty-gritty of success in business

Miss Hazyview hosted an informative entrepreneurship empowerment for the youth to encourage them to venture into the business industry, to fight poverty and unemployment.

Young people got the opportunity to learn about the do’s and don’ts of the business industry during the Sit at a Table with Miss Hazyview event at BMW Mbombela on August 5.

Nosipho Nyalunga (20) said the theme of the event was ‘Grooming a girl and boy in the business world.’
According to Nyalunga, the purpose of the event was to help young people with tips and skills on how to be successful entrepreneurs.

“The session assisted young people by creating a platform on which they were able to discuss how to write business plans, how to obtain funds to start their businesses, and established ways to market their businesses. They get to meet with other young entrepreneurs who shared their experiences.”

Nyalunga said with these events they raise funds to purchase sanitary towels, school shoes and food parcels for the less fortunate.
She is currently pursuing a diploma in marketing at Tshwane University of Technology.

Nyalunga is also a nail technician and owns a business, Nosi’s Glam Glass.
During the event, Ntsako Mahlaule, the owner of two shops, shared motivational advice on self-discipline as an entrepreneur.
“As the owner of your business, you need to set the goals you want to achieve, and this starts with understanding what you want and love, and not only focusing on making a profit.”
