Boschfontein DJ and producer in the studio cooking up new music
Delani Mkhabela, also known as DJ Spet Error, released a new song in June, which is receiving great support from various communities in Nkomazi.
Amapiano DJ and producer Delani Mkhabela, also known as DJ Spet Error, is in the studio cooking his greatest hits, which he hopes will make him an internationally acclaimed musician.
His latest single has been the talk of the town since its release in June. Titled Rango, Mkhabela said it is an instrumental amapiano song inspired by the well-known film, Rango.
“It is a very groovy song for which I have received great reception. My community of Boschfontein and the rest of Nkomazi love this song. It is a collaboration with local artists DJ Quexa and Tonneza.”
This single followed his first-ever album, Umjinko, released on February 3. “This was a birthday gift to me. It has 15 amapiano songs, on which I worked with my homeboys, Selbistic Soul, Mlingani Soul Child, Mapakisha, Kaytee Tiplows, Wizza, Makhasset, Thwasa, Dlalingoma, Mfana Kamalindi, and NK Keys.”
He said the much-loved song on the album is “Imali”, which is about money.

Mkhabela’s career in music can be traced back to 2014 when he decided to become a DJ. His talent and passion for music granted him the opportunity to work with renowned DJ and producer DJ Cleo and comedian Madluphutu in 2020.
“The song is called Thula Ujaive, and I also did a remix of one of his hit songs, Hands Up. It was a blessing to make music with DJ Cleo. He gave me the spotlight when I did not have much experience in the music industry.”
He continued to make music to keep relevant to the recognition DJ Cleo gave him.
Mkhabela said he was inspired by his cousin to venture into music. “I grew up in a musical environment, and it became my dream to make a name in the music industry. I am working towards that dream, and I believe the hard work I am putting in, in the studio will pay off.”
