Steenbok youth’s talents are explored

The Steenbok Talent Show has opened its doors to different talents in the area with the hope of exposing it to an even bigger audience.

The Steenbok Talent Show is a platform aimed at discovering and nurturing young talent around the area, with the purpose of exposing it to the world.

Founded by Happy Sibiya, also known as Kenside, the organisation said it is open for any kind of talent from dancers, singers, makwaya, hands drill and a lot more.

According to him, this is a platform to keep the youth busy so they stay away from drugs, teenage pregnancies and everything else troublesome.

“I call upon the youth of Steenbok to join and share their talents with us. We are an organisation that aims to help them knock on the right doors so they can grow and make a living from what God has given to them. We don’t only focus on dancing and doing the fun stuff when we are together, we also teach them about life and how to grow up being responsible society members. When my younger brother approached me with this idea, I took it and ran with it, because the youth get into so many things lately. This is one way of bringing them together for a great purpose and to make sure that they stay off the streets,” said Kenside.

The various talents in the organisation can be booked for weddings and any kind of celebrations. “We are open for bookings in and out of Nkomazi. This will also give the kids the kind of exposure they need in order to thrive. We have had wedding bookings before, and those who saw us are still talking about us. I know the kids are very talented and have so much to offer. The bookings will also help us to get uniforms and help us cover even more logistics, such as meals during rehearsals, because some of them do not get food at home when they come back from school. We are also open to donations of any kind.”

The Steenbok Talent Show groups can be booked on 079 937 0073.
