SA Council for Business Women launches branch in Malalane

The new SACBW Malalane branch aims to empower women, motivate them and help with business referrals.

The South African Council for Business Women (SACBW) launched its Malalane branch at Indigo Restaurant on July 12.

A group of 16 women came together to create their vision board in alignment with their goals and wishes for the rest of the year.

According to the regional leader for the Mpumalanga SACBW, Estelle Roe, the aim is to get like-minded women together to talk, share business opportunities and ideas and network. She also said her vision for this new branch is to recruit 30 to 40 members by the end of this year.

“The aim is to get women to come together and uplift one another. There’s so much power in unity and running in packs instead of isolation.
Today’s launch has been a success, and it gives me the courage to say it is possible to reach a 40-membership vision by the end of the year. The vision boards are to check in with our goals for the year and see if we are still aligned with them. We are open to women with all kinds of backgrounds, because the aim is to explore our diversity and learn from one another,” said Roe.

Mariëtte Jordaan, leader of the Malalane branch, said this branch is also a referral club in which the ladies can help one another by collaborating in business and sharing ideas.

“It is always better to be able to find anything you need in one hub. This is a platform for us to share business ideas and skills as women. I am thankful to all the women who came here today, and I look forward to the growth of the branch and seeing more women coming out to join us as we plan to become the top branch in Mpumalanga,” Jordaan said.
