Mpumalanga MEC for education welcomes learners back for the third term

The MEC for education, Bonakele Majuba, said learners needed to take full advantage of the term as it offers them a last chance to prepare for their examinations.

The Mpumalanga Department of Education has called for an all-hands-on-deck approach as public schools reopened for the third term on July 18.The department said this term is a significant one in the annual school calendar, as it is the last one before the learners sit for their final examinations.

“We and all stakeholders need to create a conducive environment for effective teaching and learning to take place so that our learners can achieve their full potential.
We also urge all learners to take full advantage of this term as it offers them the last chance to prepare for their examinations.
We implore them to work hard and make sure they are well prepared for their last stretch towards the final examinations,” said the MEC for education, Bonakele Majuba.

He appealed to all stakeholders to make every effort to enhance teaching and learning during this point in time.

“We would also like to request communities to support schools and schooling programmes even more and to help ensure there are no disruptions to the school schedule. No one must be left behind.”
