Hazyview locals embark on empowerment for entrepreneurs

The informative event's purpose was to invite entrepreneurs to share their experiences in the industries with young people who want to venture into entrepreneurship.

Local business are geared up for ”Hustlers empowerment” for young people who are interested in venturing into business. The White-Hazy Hustlers event was held at KaJerry Vibes on Wednesday June 21.

It was attended by local business owners within the community, which included the Nonyane Foundation and Torha.

According to co-founder of White-Hazy Hustlers, Nobuhle Nonyane, the aim of the session was to give young people the platform to discuss the challenges they face when starting their own companies.

The session helped them by creating a platform on which they will be able discuss how to write business plans, establish ways to market their businesses and meet with other entrepreneurs who have experience in the industries.

”Our aim is to encourage young people venture into business instead of relying only on their day to day jobs. This will help them be a solution to unemployment by creating jobs for other young people within their communities. For this to be a success they have to understand the lifestyle of a business owner, how they deal with challenges, how they balance business, work, friend, family and their own time, and how they survive during dark times in their business,” she explained.

Nonyane said they decided to invite young entrepreneurs who are making it in life. One of them was Jubilation Magagula, the founder of Torha.

Magagula gave a motivation speech during the event. He is a 27-year-old who started a business that distributes still water to different supermarkets and few hotels in the province.

He started his business with a capital of only R500.
