Mpumalanga amapiano muso features hitmakers on latest project

An upcoming artist, Khalil Harrison, entered into the music industry with a scorching album featuring Gaba Cannal and Tyler ICU.

A proud Mpumalangan, Mxolisi Nkosi (24), aka Khalil Harrison, aims to become the hottest amapiano musician in the country.

The goal is already in motion. He grabbed the chance to make music with one of the country’s biggest music producers and DJs, Gaba Cannal, and the vocalist, Makhanj.

Hitting almost 11 000 monthly listeners on Spotify, his latest song, “Angisekho Kuwe”, is the most loved on his album on the digital streaming platform.

“It was an amazing experience to work with Gaba Cannal and Makhanj to produce this hip and unique amapiano song. It is about an unreciprocated relationship. We worked on the song for a month and released it in April in my debut album, Music in My Soul.”

He said the album has nine songs, which feature big musicians in the amapiano genre, such as Tyler ICU.

“It was a privilege for me to have such artists work with me on my debut album. I have learnt a lot from them as an upcoming musician. I believe we have produced an amazing project,” he said.
