Deputy ministers joins City of Mbombela’s imbizo

CoM’s executive mayor, Sibongile Makushe-Mazibuko, said as a result of the overwhelming support, the meeting exceeded all their expectations.

The Department of Public Works and Infrastructure’s deputy minister, Bernice Swarts, the deputy minister in the presidency for planning, monitoring and evaluation, Pinky Kekana, and the City of Mbombela’s (CoM) executive mayor, Sibongile Makushe-Mazibuko, embarked on an imbizo on Thursday June 8.

The imbizo aims to fast-track service delivery and mitigate challenges that the community members and the country at large are grappling with, such as the high unemployment rate, neglect and vandalism of government infrastructure, rising poverty levels and inadequate delivery of basic services.
