Bhejukufa’s Afrobeat artist releases a new track that aims to heal broken souls
The talented upcoming Afrobeat artist Ntando Khumalo wants to inspire change to people's lives through music.
The upcoming Afrobeat artist, Ntando Khumalo, recently released her first single track, “Uyavela.”
This talented young artist told Lowvelder Express her aim is to be a remedy to people’s situation by healing those with broken souls through her music.
“Sometimes people find themselves in a situation in which they want to end their lives because of the challenging situations they face, forgetting that disappointments are part of life. Some go through abuse and are struggling to accept it. This song reminds them that you cannot predict what people really feel about you or get why they change the way they are treating you,” she said
According to Khumalo, the single track was inspired by things happening in society.

“This song tells a story about what we see in our communities, the gender-based violence that we see increasing.
“I see that more women are killed because of abuse in relationships and men taking advantage of them because they are rich. I decided to write the song to a girl so that they do not go through this experience,” Khumalo said.
She works under the record label, Soul Vibration, and it introduced her to the love of the Afrobeat genre.
Khumalo started making music in 2018. She has worked with other artists like Oga Five Star from Zimbabwe. She looks up to Tiwa Savange who is playing a big role in the Afrobeat industry.

“I chose to do music because I wanted to share the skill I have for writing through music. I want young people to understand how nice the Afrobeat genre is and for them to enjoy it. These days they focus on amapiano and hip-hop. I just wanted to do something different than to go with the trend.”
Khumalo is currently working on a EP she plans to release this year.
“We have many songs that we are working on and we planning release them soon. People should expect a lot from us as Soul Vibration.”
