It is one of the circuits within the overall best performing district of the 2022 Grade 12 National Senior Certificate examination provincial results.
Bohlabela District registered a 79.3% pass rate, which is an improvement of 5.1% on the 74.2% pass rate obtained in 2021.

The gathering with learners, teachers, principals and various stakeholders within the districts was held at Ngwaritsane Secondary School.

Majuba said, “To the district director, Lorraine Goba, congratulations to you and your team, keep up the good work. I challenge you today to defend this position even in the current year. I also challenge this district to ensure that they are represented in the provincial top 10 list in 2023. It was very unfortunate that there was no candidate representing Bohlabela District as part of the top 10 candidates. This has to be changed, and I truly believe that one of you here will be part of the top 10. It is doable; it is all in your hands.”

The department has 71 circuits; Ngwaritsane Circuit improved its Grade 12 results by 2.2%, obtaining a 75.2% pass rate.
“This circuit is 43rd out of 71 circuits. Ngwaritsane Circuit has eight schools.”

Majuba encouraged the learners and reminded them that they can achieve anything. “As a department, we are here to touch base with the CEOs of tomorrow, because the great Sizwe Nxasana, former CEO of First Rand Bank, was once a learner like you. We are here to speak to the future MECs, because even I once sat for the matric examinations like you will soon do.”
