Graphic design, music production and living life through the lens are what Given Mahlalela has been experiencing for the past 10 years, and for him, this is a passion that fits him like a glove.
Born and raised in Steenbok, Mahlalela said he always aims to tell a story through his photographs and wants his work to evoke emotions and create everlasting memories for his clients.
“I always want my work to stand out and be unique. The photos should be so bold that whoever gets to see them, should be taken to a whole new world, one where they will be able to allow their imagination to run bold and wild. It’s not just a photo when you do it passionately and pay attention to detail. I do studio photoshoots as well, but they are not just ordinary photoshoots. It’s about creating memories that will last longer for your subject, and in this case, it’s not only passion that will take you that far as a photographer – it’s everything, from the composition of colour to the tone that will have you standing out.”

This 34-year-old said he started Asidlali Productions 10 years ago, and he specialises in creating unique, eye-catching designs for a variety of clients, ranging from small businesses to large corporations. Mahlalela has also produced music for a number of local artists in Nkomazi.
“I always make sure that my work is of the highest quality, and I strive to stay ahead of the latest trends in the industry. I’m an experienced user of Adobe Photoshop, and I’m always looking for ways to improve my skills and expand my portfolio. My artistic approach to my work and graphic skills distinguish me from the competition. Asidlali Productions prides itself on its high-quality designers who deliver only the best graphic design services, which are the following: business card design, brochure design, logo design, poster design, biographies, advert design, CD/DVD cover design and invitation card designs. Music production is also one of the things we do very well. We have worked with artists like KingVeg, and did ‘Bhabhalaza’ with the 2Some twins, and I am happy to say the song did very well and received a lot of airplay at our local radio station, Nkomazi FM.”
