The Lowveld Walkers held an Introduce a Friend to a Healthy Lifestyle Campaign on April 15.
The participants walked from Alan Hudson Motors (Nelspruit VW) to the University of Mpumalanga road. There were three categories, the 5km, 10km and 21km.
Joseph Mashaba, the founder of Lowveld Walkers, said there were two friends who won R1 000 vouchers from i’langa Mall and a R1 000 Sportsmans Warehouse voucher.

“The walk was sponsored by Alan Hudson Motors, and they even had a surprise prize for the eldest walker of the day. The event was a great success and we appreciate all the support.”
Mashaba said the turnout was great, and the number of walkers keeps increasing. “The organisation keeps growing and people keep joining. When I started this programme, I never imagined that we would receive such support from local businesses and the community.”
