According to him the Easter Weekend is not only a Christian festival commemorating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead.

“It is true that Jesus has died for our sins and that our Father in heaven is willing to forgive us for our sins. However, everyone needs to remember that they need to apply the forgiveness part in their own lives too. This is not only time to reflect on our relationships with our heavenly Father, but also to rebuild and renew relationships with our neighbours, colleagues, family members and loved ones with whom we have had fall-out. If God can forgive us our sins, we have to remember to do the same. We should start inviting others to church and to Christ.”

Mkhabela said when Christians celebrate Easter, they acknowledge the love of God.

“He gave His only son so that He dies for our sins. Everyone must be made aware of this expression of love towards people.”
As a way to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, the Holy Ghost Power Church held various activities.
“We celebrated by hosting a conference, the Sunday School kids and the youth sang songs.”
