Multi-award winning gospel musician Tshidi Chauke is taking over Mpumalanga with the aim to build relationships with churches in the province.
He kick-started the tour at the Bishop Dununu-Msibi Ministries and El-Elyon Praise Fellowship in eMalahleni on Sunday April 2. He performed songs from his new album, Tshwarella, and will continue to do so at other venues, free of charge.
“If I do not go out to the people, how will they know about me? This tour is my introduction to the Mpumalanga community, especially as a solo artist. So what better way to do it at churches, directly to the gospel music lovers?” Chauke said.
“On Sunday April 16, I will be in Siyabuswa at the Love and Grace Family Church, situated next to the University of Mpumalanga. Later on that day, I will join other local worshippers at the Ukhamba Industrial Park in Middelburg. The tour will conclude at the Miracle Word Bible Fellowship International in Msogwaba, Pienaar, on Sunday April 30.”

Hailing from Hammanskraal in Pretoria, Chauke has been in the music industry for many years. He was part of a clap and tap group called Barorisi ba Morena and the multi-award winning Tshwane Gospel Choir.
As a solo artist, he released a debut album titled Kholwa in 2016, which did well in the gospel music fraternity, especially with the song “Lekuntu Le Morena”.

In 2021, he swept up accolades for this clap and tap song being the best at the Independent Gospel Music Awards and the Crown Gospel Awards. He also received an award for the best national male at the Mpumalanga Gospel Awards.
