Mpumalanga Department of Agriculture has refurbishment plans for Elijah Mango College

Elijah Mango College will soon get the refurbishment it needs, announced the Mpumalanga Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, Land and Environmental Affairs recently.

The Mpumalanga Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, Land and Environmental Affairs (Dardlea) and members of the Legislature’s Portfolio Committee on Agriculture recently visited Elijah Mango College of Higher Education in KaBokweni.

This college used to be known as one of education during the former KaNgwane Homeland, but became dilapidated due to vandalism and theft after it was neglected.

During the visit, the department agreed that more work needed to be done for a total refurbishment of the college.

According to the report, Dardlea will involve all other stakeholders to work together towards attaining that goal.

The committee went on an oversight visit to the facility, to see progress on the portion currently utilised by Dardlea for a farmer training centre. The department had started with refurbishments of the structures. The committee decided to allow the department to activate all other stakeholders, who will form an interim project steering committee.
