Man found in possession of rhino horns in Mkhondo
Ntsako Prince Letswele was arrested after some members of the public had tipped the police off.
The Mkhondo SAPS arrested Ntsako Prince Letswele (27) when he was found in possession of two rhino horns yesterday, March 9, after members of the public had tipped the police off.
According to a provincial police spokesperson, Brigadier Selvy Mohlala, the accused drove a Nissan Qashqai on the Wakkerstroom road, going towards Mkhondo and transporting the horns.

“The vehicle was brought to a halt in the Mkhondo CBD. A search was conducted and the police discovered the two rhino horns hidden inside the bonnet of the car, wrapped in some black plastics,” Mohlala said.

Letswele made his first appearance in the Mkhondo Magistrate’s Court today March 10. The matter has been postponed to Tuesday March 14 to enable him to obtain a legal representative.
