“Today marks the first day of Water Month in South Africa. As part of our stewardship strategy, we have commissioned a truck to distribute clean water to areas affected by water security and shortages in the greater Nkomazi and Malalane. Reliable access to clean, safe water is essential to life and the health of our communities. As CCBSA, we are committed to supporting local communities,.” said the regional public affairs, communication and sustainability manager of CCBSA, Nathalie Hendricks.

The donation was done in partnership with the Gift of the Givers Foundation, which has been on the ground providing relief to affected families since the first week of the flooding disaster.

“We are grateful to our stakeholders, CCBSA, for bringing more relief packages to the affected families. We have been on the ground for the past three weeks and we can safely say the more hands on deck, the better. We are also grateful to RCL that also donated sugar packs, maize meal and bread. It is stakeholders like these and their generous donations, that make our work on the ground much easier,” said Sarah Sithole of Gift of the Givers.
