Oakley couple burn to death in house fire

The neighbours claim that the mother had managed to save her little child by throwing her out of a window prior to her own demise.

A devastating house fire in Oakley near Mkhuhlu claimed the lives of a couple earlier today, February 1.

Some neighbours managed to extinguish the fire, but the paramedics declared the couple dead.

According to the neighbours, the couple had been in an altercation since yesterday, January 31.

They also claimed that the mother had thrown her little child out of the window to save her life before the flames engulfed the house.

The police are currently on the scene and are gathering more information.
