“I will be studying at the University of Johannesburg, because it is the best institution in the country to study my course. I am currently completing my registrations and will be going to Gauteng in February.”

Brotus said he managed to be one of the top learners because he planned his time to study.

“I made a timetable that I followed; it was for seven days of the week. I studied for three hours daily. I tested myself by going through old question papers from a website called Past Papers SA. It helped me to prepare for my exams.”

He said he wants to urge the Class of 2023 to always listen to their teachers. “It is important to do what the teachers tell you, because they know what is best.”

Brotus said he would not have made it through the exams without the support of his family, friends and teachers.

“My parents made sure I had all the things required for my schoolwork. They supported me at all times. My friends believed in me and studied with me. My teachers made sure that I did my work.”
He said when he completes his studies, his dreams include building a big house for his parents and buying his father a car.
