Mpumalanga MEC for health interacts with healthcare managers for smoother-running facilities

MEC Sasekani Manzini said she wants change in these local healthcare facilities, and acceptable standards in the provision of services.

On a mission to improve healthcare services, the MEC for health, Sasekani Manzini, held meetings with health managers of several clinics, hospitals and districts in the Gert Sibande and Nkangala districts on Thursday and Friday January 26 and 27.

Addressing the meeting, Manzini said, “2023 is the year of excellence in delivery of primary healthcare services. The patients who are our clients must be satisfied with the quality of service. Implement booking systems in facilities to avoid long queues. Attend to complaints promptly and with respect. Operational managers and chief executive officers must be hands-on in monitoring the smooth operation of their facilities and organise open days and attend community meetings to understand the views of the community.”
