Mpumalanga’s overall best learner to receive brand-new car

Mpumalanga Department of Education reveals the vehicle that will be handed over to the overall best learner and shares the feedback from Umalusi.

The Mpumalanga Department of Education (DoE) revealed the vehicle that will be presented to the 2022 National Senior Certificate’s (NSC) overall best learner.

The car, a brand-new Toyota Agya, will be handed over on Friday January 20 during the announcement of the 2022 NSC examinations results at the University of Mpumalanga.

The MEC for education, Bonakele Majuba, will announce these results. This follows the approval by Umalusi, the council for quality assurance of general and further education and training.

The DoE’s spokesperson, Jasper Zwane said, “Umalusi said among other issues, having studied all the evidence presented, the executive committee of the Umalusi Council concluded that the examinations were administered largely in accordance with the regulations pertaining to the conduct, administration and management of the exams.

“The irregularities identified during the writing and marking of the examinations, were not systemic and therefore did not compromise the overall credibility and integrity of the November 2022 NSC examinations administered by the Department of Basic Education (DBE). The executive committee of council therefore approves the release of the DBE November NSC examinations results.”
