Barberton’s young gem Banaka Thwala has signed with Lamontville Golden Arrows F.C

Thwala will remain with the MDC team and he is yet to make his debut this coming weekend.

The captain of the St Mark’s soccer squad for 2022, Banaka Thwala, has finally signed a professional contract with the Durban outfit Golden Arrows, which will see him campaign in the MDC.

Thwala, who has made quite a name for himself, has been training with Abafana Bes’thende for almost two weeks now and has penned a deal that will see him in the development side and on review for the first team.

According to his representative, Hopewell Goba, the young man has a review clause on his contract.
“Thwala signed with the team and he will make his debut pending selection this coming week.”

“Thwala will be reviewed to check the level of readiness for him to make first team, but if he is not ready he will continue with the MDC.”

“The young player has a well-structured contract that benefits both parties,” said Goba.

Goba said Thwala is doing well and has a positive attitude.
“He is one of the players who works extremely hard while also being very disciplined, and I can say this without fear of backlash, that he will succeed.”

“Although he may be in a distant province or unfamiliar surroundings, he is adjusting well,” Goba said.

The coaches are happy with his progress and they praise him for his positive attitude.

The paper contacted Thwala who said he is focused on working hard and growing as a footballer.
“I am grateful for the opportunity and my aim is to develop and grow as a footballer.”

“I would like to thank everyone who has been behind me and I promise to make them proud,” said Thwala.
