KaNyamazane beauty bags national crown
Bajabulisile Thela is the new ambassador of Teen Universe South Africa.
KaNyamazane’s very own pageant sensation, Bajabulisile Thela, has been crowned as the new ambassador of Teen Universe South Africa.
The crowning had locals ululating for the youngster on social media.
“I love the support people from my hometown have showed me. It makes me humble and proud at the same time to have achieved this title. It is proof that it is indeed a win for everyone in KaNyamazane,” Thela said.
She said winning the title came just at the time she longed to see her hard work pay off. “I will also be competing at the Teen Universe International pageant, representing South Africa in Spain in February,” Thela said.
The 19-year-old beauty said this title was the first of many to come. “I am determined to achieve more titles and ultimately use all the platforms to uplift my peers to do well and strive to bring change in the community, no matter how,” she said.

“Modelling and pageants have played a big role in our society, because it has boosted the confidence and self-esteem of many young people, including myself.”
The 2021 Miss Teen Grand SA said she had embarked on the pageant journey to learn and to empower women.
“I started competing in pageants when I was in Grade 5. I have gained so much experience locally, and am aiming higher and bigger now.”
Thela said she wants to be known as a woman who had stood her ground and fought for her dreams through hard work and perseverance.

“I live by the words #BlackGirlMagic. I want to make magic on every stage I am on and motivate young women that their dreams are valid and that they are creative enough to shape their paths,” she said.
She said she cannot wait to make her community prouder.
