City of Mbombela mayor donates school uniforms
Donating school shoes and uniforms was the City of Mbombela's mayor, Cllr Sibongile Makushe-Mazibuko's humanitarian gesture as the year begins.
The mayor of the City of Mbombela (CoM), Cllr Sibongile Makushe-Mazibuko, donated school shoes and uniforms to the learners at Sijabulile Primary School in Sterkspruit on Friday January 13.
This gesture was part of the mayor’s humanitarian calendar as the year begins. Sijabulile Primary is surrounded by farms and educates 173 learners from these.

During her visit, Makushe-Mazibuko encouraged the learners to dream beyond their family circumstances, and said their dreams must not be limited by this, because their future is in their hands. She urged them to use the opportunities given to them.
“You learners must keep a positive mindset, despite the conditions back at home. You do not get to choose the conditions in which you are born, but you can certainly choose what you become in the future.”

The school has welcomed the mayor’s generous gesture and applauded her for choosing it as part of her back-to-school programme.
