Ehlanzeni municipal staff recognised for hard work and dedication
The dedicated employees were honoured for their individual performances, and some for their long years of loyal service.
The Ehlanzeni District Municipality’s (EDM) sixth annual performance recognition awards for 2020/21, held on Friday December 9, recognised committed, diligent and unselfish municipality employees.
The event honoured individual achievements and long service awards of dedicated workers who toiled diligently during the challenging Covid-19 period to positively contribute and co-operate with the municipality to improve service delivery and the local communities’ standard of living.

The EDM’s municipal manger, Dr Nontobeko Mahlalela, said they are recognising excellence and appreciating their workers.
“We are celebrating our colleagues for the services they have rendered to the EDM. We are honouring the workers for their long services to the municipality and their hard work.
It is a way of also motivating them to work even harder and to motivate others to work diligently. We managed to maintain the status quo, and it is thanks to all the workers who have been with us throughout and working as a team.”
