Secunda musician drops hit for festive season

Sibusiso Ndimande collaborated with Rethabile Khumalo and MarazA on his new song, "Wait".

The singer-songwriter and producer, Sibusiso Ndimande, known as DarkerRSA, is elated to have dropped a brand-new single, titled “Wait”, in which he features music giants Rethabile Khumalo and MarazA.

Ndimande said it was an enjoyable opportunity to make music with such musicians and he hopes to attract more artists with whom to make hits.

“The song is my signature blend of amapiano infused with Afro-pop and a bit of tech sound. It will definitely get people grooving this festive season, without a doubt,” Ndimande said.

He has released this song’s music video, which is available on YouTube.

The creative from Secunda can be considered to be very experimental for his unique infusion of different sounds and the content of his music being based on his life experiences to uplift his listeners while using slang and pop culture language.

Ndimande’s phenomenal journey began as a singer in church. He has managed to travel to parts of the world, showcasing his talent with the musical groups he was part of like Voice of Africa, African Groove and Simunye Male Chorus.

“I ventured into a solo career in 2019 and released my first single, titled ‘Thetha’. This song allowed me great opportunities as one of Mpumalanga’s fast up-and-coming musicians. In 2021, I released another amapiano hit called ‘Koze Kuse’. The song had streets buzzing, captured the attention of DJs and received air play on South Africa’s top radio stations,” Ndimande said.

“In the same year, I released an EP titled Sondela with six songs. That EP cemented my spot in the music industry.”

2022 has been a year of more success for Ndimande. Besides the latest song, he founded his own record label, Hustler’s Studio, under which he produced and distributed his 12-track album, Platinum Status, and a single called ‘Kukhulu Okuzayo’, professing more great things to come.

Ndimande has shared the stage with internationally acclaimed musicians and was also nominated for best underground record of the year at the South African Dance Music Awards.
