Countdown to the Ultimate Party in Middelburg has begun

eMalahleni DJ, Nomalanga Mabena is excited to be ín the line-up to showcase her new amapiano EP.

Just two weeks ahead of the second annual Ultimate Party, which is the biggest festival on the calendar, some local musicians will be elated to showcase their craft alongside the country’s top artists, Makhadzi, Master KG, Thebe, Sun EL Musician and Shimza.

One of eMalahleni’s female DJs, Nomalanga Mabena, also known as Mami, said the festival will promote local artists like herself.

“This is a great opportunity for us to showcase our music and rub shoulders with the best in the music industry. The RMM Events and the Ultimate Party team have set up a platform that will expose us, because there will be promoters at the festival, so some local musicians might be scouted,” Mabena said.

She said she would perform her new amapiano-inspired EP title, Sgija Hun, on December 15.

“The EP has seven songs and will drop just a day before the festival. It is very exciting for me to have a mass of people listen to my fresh music on such a big platform. I believe this opportunity will attract partnerships,” she said.

Mabena has taken eMalahleni by a storm with her Mami Mondays and DJ residency at Ekhoneni Pub and Grill.

“Mami Mondays is an event I started in 2019. I host it every last Monday of the month. I invite local musicians and have at least one nationally acclaimed musician to perform. It has been a successful journey and we need to support one another to reach the top,” Mabena said.

Other local musicians will include Flows, Theo, Dosline, Crazy G and Cryonici.
