Summer blaze has arrived in Mbombela

The 013 Summer Blaze festival will hit Mbombela this Saturday.

The city is about to be filled with a flaming hot line-up of some of Mpumalanga’s best musicians and national ones, performing at the 013 Summer Blaze festival this Saturday.

The festival aims to promote local musicians and uplift Mbombela’s economy and tourism sector.

Mpumalanga’s very own award-winning musician, Phumla Nkomo, applauded the festival’s organisers for making the event all about Mpumalanga people.

“We are in need of similar platforms like the one 013 Summer Blazing provides, where we are not taken advantage of. It is very exciting to be recognised and granted opportunities at home,” Nkomo said.

She said she was excited for her performance alongside her music partner, Passion Master.

“Our performance will be outstanding. I am actually for this festival because we have been rehearsing and going all out for it. People should expect nothing but heat on the Summer Blaze stage, especially from this award winner,” she said.

One of the festival organisers, Zakhele Mbatsane, said the Kasi2Kasi activations were a success and local musicians have used the platform well.

“We appreciate the support the people of Mpumalanga have shown towards our plans. The fun continues ahead of the big day with preparties at Mbombela’s entertainment venues that will be communicated on our social media pages. We are waiting for the big day to come and are expecting a lot of people from outside the province and from our neighbouring countries.”

Mbatsane encouraged people from all over Mpumalanga to purchase tickets, available at all Computicket outlets for R150 for general access and R650 for VIP access.
