Mpumalanga gospel musician receives award in Basadi in Music

Bathabile Skhosana was awarded the Gospel Artist of the Year at the first annual Basadi in Music Awards.

Bathabile Skhosana, an multi-award-winning gospel songstress, has received yet another accolade to her name.

She was recently awarded as the Gospel Artist of Year at the first annual 2022 Basadi in Music Awards.

“Being recognised for your respective craft is elevating and an inspiration to keep doing great. This award is a directional point in my music career to a national status in the country’s gospel industry,” Skhosana said.

She said it was unbelievable to hear her name announced as the winner. “I still cannot believe it. This moment in my life is a testimony to the miracles that God is able to perform.”

She appreciated those who played a role to receive the award. “I thank God for all role players, such as voters and the Basadi in Music Awards, for affording me this award and fulfilling my dreams,” she said.

 

Skhosana said receiving the award was an encouragement to release her album soon. “I am now accelerating to my plan of releasing the album I recorded in May. I am elated to announce that I will drop a first single of the album in the first week of December. The song is about showing gratitude to God for everything, which has always been my signature theme of most of my projects.”

She said the album would see its release early 2023.
