Police are searching for a suspect and urge anyone with information to come forward.

The police are still searching for the suspect who might be connected to the murder of a 27-year-old man. His body was exhumed from a shallow grave on Tuesday September 27.

A provincial police spokesperson, Colonel Donald Mdluli, said they had received information from members of the community who spotted a shallow grave in a yard.
“The police and the rescue team went to the said house and when they started searching, they saw the shallow grave. After the body was exhumed, the family identified the victim as Lindelani Thabethe. The owner of the house was not around and he has still not been found yet.”

“We believe that the friend of the victim, who was the last person to be seen with the victim, can assist with the investigation. The friend has not been seen and we do not know where he is.”

He concluded by saying the police are still in pursuit of the suspect and a murder case has been opened.
