IN PHOTOS: Provincial Tourism Careers Expo in Barberton

This expo is hosted in partnership with the provincial Department of Education, Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA), University of Mpumalanga, Tshwane University of Technology, Ehlanzeni TVET College, Nkangala TVET College, Gert Sibande TVET College and the Kruger National Park.

MEC for the Department of Finance, Economic Development and Tourism, Vusi Mkhatshwa, is today (September 21) hosting a progressive Provincial Tourism Careers Expo at Ehlanzeni TVET College, Barberton Campus.


The main objective of the expo is to promote tourism as a career of choice. Moreover, it seeks to promote youth participation in tourism.

This event is targeting mainly grade 11 learners doing tourism, consumer and hospitality studies.
Mkhatshwa is exposing learners and showcasing tourism career and enterprise development opportunities.

The event is a build-up to the National Tourism Careers Expo which will be held in Gauteng from September 30 to October 2.
