Police search for missing Cottondale man

Elijah Khoza was last seen in the company of his father on August 12.

The Acornhoek police requested the community’s assistance to locate Elijah Magidi Khoza, who went missing in Cottondale.

The 28-year-old, who is a mental health patient, was in the company of his father when they went to consult at a local prophet and he disappeared on Friday August 12.

A Mpumalanga police spokesperson, Brigadier Selvy Mohlala, said, “It is reported that after the consultation, Khoza’s father left him where they were consulting to look for cash to buy some medication. On his return, his son was nowhere to be found. When he made enquiries, he was informed that his son had left the place.

“He was wearing a pair of black jeans and black denim jacket at the time of his disappearance. His cellphone is currently off,” Mohlala said.
