Two shot at KaNyamazane shopping complex
One of the victims died at the local clinic while the one was rushed to the hospital.
Police in KaNyamazane are investigating a shooting incident which claimed one life and landed another victim in hospital.
According to the provincial police spokesperson, Colonel Donald Mdhluli, the shooting occurred at the KaNyamazane Shopping Complex on Sunday October 23 around at about 09:00.
“After the shooting incident, two victims with gunshot wounds were taken for medical treatment to a local clinic. One of the victims was unfortunately certified dead by the medical personnel at the clinic, meanwhile the other victim was transferred to hospital for further medical care,” he said.

Mdhluli also said circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting are under investigation. No arrests have been made.
“The police urge anyone with information that may assist in apprehending the perpetrators in this case to call the Crime Stop number on 08600 10111 or send information via My SAPS App. All received information will be treated as confidential and callers may opt to remain anonymous,” he said.

The provincial commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga SAPS, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Manamela, has condemned the shooting incident and vowed that police will ensure that the perpetrators are soon put behind bars.
