Mpumalanga MEC for health meets department role players

The MEC for health, Sasekani Manzini, paid an unannounced visit to both KaMhlushwa Clinic and Tonga Hospital to monitor the provision of adequate healthcare services.

The MEC for health, Sasekani Manzini, met various role players of the health department at KaMhlushwa Community Hall on Tuesday July 12 for a consultation meeting to deliberate on critical issues that portray it in a bad light for various reasons.
Operational managers, primary healthcare managers, district managers, supervisors, subdistrict managers, hospital CEOs and provincial managers participated in this event.

Manzini encouraged all managers to employ good practices in implementing operational systems in place to prioritise and improve healthcare services rendered to the patients.
According to her, they must change the current status of things so that the society has a positive perspective of health workers who are passionate to assist and to provide care for the people.
“I personally plead with everyone to strengthen their monitoring strategy by just frequently conducting oversights that are fundamental to change the status quo and to further improve services.
