Members of Thaba Chweu disability forum scoop several awards

The awards ceremony took place on Friday July 8 at the Lydenburg Civic Centre.

The Ehlanzeni District Municipality (EDM) honoured the members of the Thaba Chweu Disability Forum for their role in assisting people who live with disabilities.

Friddah Nkadimeng, TCLM’s executive mayor, presented trophies to Winnie Masiya for best activist, Wilson Mogane for best disability forum chairperson, and James Maphanga.

Nkadimeng said that people living with disabilities are taking centre stage and they put their words into action with the motto: “Nothing about us, without us.
