KWAGGAFONTEIN – The crash occurred just before 18:30 on Monday and the people were certified dead at the scene.
The LDV caught fire upon impact, but the driver, who was the only occupant, was got out of the vehicle in time.
The four peope include both drivers and two passengers in the sedan. Traffic officials had a busy night as the road had to be closed.

The cause of the crash is still unknown, but the probe has already commenced.
The Mpumalanga MEC for community safety, security and liaison, Vusi Shongwe, has urged motorists to be more cautious on the road, especially after sunset when visibility is reduced. “Motorists are called upon to exercise due diligence and also to obey the rules. They need to adjust their driving to various prevailing conditions on the road,” said Shongwe. He sent his condolences to the bereaved families.
