Shongwe was formally sworn in by Judge Brian Mashile at the Mpumalanga Division of the High Court on Wednesday September 22.
According to a statement released by the premier’s office, Refilwe Mtshweni-Tsipane is on leave until Sunday September 26.
Even though the statement did not specify the type of leave Mtshweni-Tsipane had taken, Mpumalanga News has reliably been informed it is fatigue-related.
Mtshweni-Tsipane has been one of the busiest politicians in the province. She has been leading the vaccination campaigns with the MEC for Health, Sasekani Manzini.

During weekends, whenever she is not busy with government work, she is seen campaigning for the ANC’s top position, which was left vacant by David Mabuza, who is now the ruling party’s deputy president.
