New coach determined to have TS Sporting winning again

TS Sporting's newest coach, Milton Dlamini, is adamant that his troops will start firing on all cylinders.

Dlamini joined Sporting just days before the new season kicked off.

Having accumulated vast coaching experience, Dlamini hopes to guide the home team to greener pastures, but he said he knows a lot of work needs to be done.

Dlamini’s team opened the new season like a house on fire when they beat Pretoria Callies by 1-0 at the TS Sporting’s slaughterhouse, KaBokweni Stadium, on August 21. Even though they went on to lose their second game against Cape Town All Stars 3-2, Dlamini’s boys are not panicking yet.

They are currently eighth on the table with three points, and are showing signs of a team that is there to compete and not to merely make up the numbers. “As you know, it takes some time for players to adjust to a new style of play, but we are getting there. I am sure the players will soon be 100% ready and will start delivering the desired results,” he said.

Dlamini holds a professional coaching diploma from Unisa and has a rich coaching history, especially in the GladAfrica Championship and Premier Soccer League.

He has coached Thanda Royal Zulu, Mbombela United, Platinum Stars, Free State Stars and Baroka FC.

“We just need to give the players some time and they will adapt to new methods. I am certain they will be rocking in no time,” added Dlamini. Sporting will travel to Limpopo where they have a tough date against Black Leopards on Saturday September 11.
