Stage set for Crowning Miss Mpumalanga 2021

The judges’ suits are all ironed and the top 12 models are ready for the catwalk on the grandest ramp of them all.

On Saturday May 29, one of the girls will be crowned as the new face of the province and their lives will never be the same again.

This has been billed as the night of nights where the final showdown of the 11th edition of the annual Crowning Miss Mpumalanga will
take place.

“There is no turning back now. It’s all systems go. After months of planning and a lot of work work behind the scenes, the day is finally
here,” said Gugu Nyarenda, Mzimari Productions’ CEO.

She stressed that this year’s masterpiece will be held in accordance with the Covid-19 regulations to prevent the spread of
the virus.

“Our planning for this year’s show has been a bumpy ride due to the fact that we had to move from our traditional way of doing things
because of Covid-19.

“For starters, we had to rely on technology to host our plenary meetings and also had to conduct the first round of auditions via the online
channel. And as always, technology is good, but never predictable an consistent, but as organisers we are happy and proud that we managed. We did so without breaking the Covid-19 regulations,” continued Nyarenda.

Due to this pandemic, last year’s final showpiece had to be conducted behind closed doors, but was for the first time streamed live
from DStv channel 157.
