Beware of scam, warns Alexander Forbes

Alexander Forbes will never request confidential information such as banking details in an SMS, WhatsApp, direct phone call or email.

The management of Alexander Forbes Group Holdings warns its clients of people and companies that claim to be working for it.

“We would like to alert you about individuals or companies claiming to work for or with Alexander Forbes and requesting that your members supply them with personal information through several platforms including SMS, WhatsApp, direct phone calls or email. They promise additional payments for disclosure of personal information,” read a communique from the company.

“Alexander Forbes will never request confidential information such as banking details in an SMS, WhatsApp, direct phone call or email.

“Please advise your members to be extra vigilant about emails or phone calls that ask for confidential information, such as money transfers, invoice details and promises of additional payment that is due to them,” warned Alexander Forbes.
