Author’s new book a guide on the road to well-being

The latest book by author and practising pharmacist, Stephen Okojie, titled Rags to Wellbeing, is a must-read.

“We are all born with the purpose to manage the earth’s resources and sustain our dominion. Your unique purpose will spring from a variety of activities of service to others that bring you the highest peak experiences of joy and commitment. When you are on purpose, you will feel happy and joyful, and the activities will draw out the best performance from you. Without knowing your life purpose as the compass to guide you, your goals and plans will always remain unfulfilling, even if you achieve them,” Okojie opened, without giving away too much information on his latest writings.

After graduating from the University of Benin in 1998, Okojie started his career as the owner-manager of a community practice pharmacy in the ancient city of Benin in Nigeria.

After a few years of practise, he realised his chosen life position did not give him the opportunity to quickly turn his life dreams into reality.

This motivated his emigration to South Africa in 2004. He went to work for the healthcare sector in South Africa, managing several private and public pharmacies over a decade’s community and institutional practise, to date.

“During this time, I quickly observed how organisational performance is infl uenced by an employee’s workplace behaviour and engagement. Wanting to understand how to manage people better, I returned to graduate school at the Management College of Southern Africa, where I received my master’s degree in leadership and business management. As a positive change agent, I embarked on my writing career,” he said.

“The intention is to help the youth and go-getters fi nd meaningful, relevant and impactful information that points them in the direction of success, happiness, fulfi lment and prosperity, and to raise the author’s visibility and credibility in the fi eld of life-coaching and public speaking,” he said.

The book contains ideas, insights and tools to help the reader fi nd clarity in creating their personal development plan and to effectively act it out through setting fun, stretched and doable goals.

“Our dominant thoughts become our reality. Readers are leaders. When you read great minds and apply correctly, you become great also. The mind of a reader is a tree planted by the riverbank,” he said.
