A 35-year-old engineering technologist, the runner up of Mrs Mpumalanga 2020/21, Ntombi Ngobese, has taken over the reign of Mrs Mpumalanga from Cindy Bezuidenhout. This comes after the recent resignation of Bezuidenhout from the throne due to personal circumstances.

In a media statement Bezuidenhout said, “After careful consideration together with the Mrs Mpumalanga management team I will be stepping down as the current Mrs Mpumalanga 2021 due to changed personal circumstances. I an grateful and remain humble for the opportunity granted to me to be crowned as Mrs Mpumalanga 2021. I thank my family , followers, friends and sponsors for the firm support received throughout my finalist and reigning journey,” she said. 
The management of the brand confirmed these developments. “It is with great sadness and much thought and consideration that Mrs Mpumalanga Cindy Bezuidenhout have decided she must resign due to personal circumstances that have changed.

Mrs Mpumalanga Brand have the outmost respect for this decision and we will continue to support Cindy with her endeavors to bring positive change to her community and province,” reads a media statement from the management. The Mrs Mpumalanga Management further confirmed that Bezuidenhout handed over her crown to Ntombi Ngobese the 1st runner-up. “Bezuidenhout will act as ambassador for the remaining of this year for the Brand Mrs Mpumalanga and also Provincial Mpumalanga MS. She will still be honoring her responsibility towards her personal sponsors. This is not good buy but only a new personal journey for her,” added the management. They also welcomed Ngobese as the new queen.
