Three top matric learners from Ngodini High School won lucrative prizes and vouchers courtesy of Macbeth Attorneys. Ngodini High School’s class of 2020 achieved a 95 per cent pass rate, an eight per cent increase from the 87 per cent they had achieved last year.

The school attained first place among public schools in the Nsikazi Circuit. The top three, Sandile Mutuque, Zethembe Mlombo and Siphosethu Shekwa, passed their exams with flying colours.

Sandile received a brand-new laptop, a smart phone Wi-Fi router, a trophy and a R15 000 cheque. Zethembe achieved distinctions in physical science and siSwati. She obtained level six in life orientation and English and level five in mathematics and geography. She thanked her father, Jeffrey Mlombo, for always being there for her and her siblings since the death of their mother in 2017.
“The initiative is aimed at giving back to the community of KaBokweni and affording previously disadvantaged children an opportunity to enroll in an institution of higher learning. This programme has helped more than 30 students who have graduated in the different fields, including engineering, medicine, accounting, law and many more,” said Ncongwane.
