Regardless of the negative effects to the music industry brought on by Covid-19, Skinny Blaxm looks forward to a fruitful year with a hit album to drop soon. “I can’t wait to drop my first album this year. I am currently working on one that will remain a classic in decades to come. Hip-hop and R & B that would be the best ever to come from the province and continent. This will open doors to many talented artists from Mpumalanga,” he said. He had been in the music scene since 15, when he participated in his school and church choir.

“The inspiration to write and spit catchy rhymes started in 2010 when I turned 16. After writing my first script, my friends and I formed the True Swag group in 2010. We started recording music and performing together at functions and pubs in the Lowveld. The group had the privilege to perform alongside Stone Cracker. That was when my passion was taken to the next level,” he said. In 2012 Skinny Blaxm formed the NCBS, and recorded an EP called “Pain with a Smile” dedicated to his late friend who had been a member of the group. His music can be found on iTunes, Spotify and more.
