Andy Masiye scouts for talent

He invites artists of all music genres to the launch of his talent search initiatives at Mkhuhlu Alliance Church on Sunday.

Local gospel artist and founder of Hope Restorer, Andy Masiye is on a mission to scout for talented artists from the Bushbuckridge Local Municipality.

“This is one of my new projects which is aimed at ploughing back into the community and helping artists from grassroots levels grow. All upcoming artists aged between 16 and 45 are invited to the launch. Auditions for the talent search will take place at a date to be announced early next year,” he said.

Winners will stand a chance to win lucrative deals and prize money. Masiye invites potential sponsors, both in the private and the public sector, to join him in making his dream of nurturing talent from the area become a reality. He recently released a single, against gender-based violence (GBV), titled “Mgodoyi”. He revealed that he will be selling the GBV song to Prince Mvulinyana. “I’ll be giving away the song’s copyright to Mvulinyana because he is the best in that genre,” he said.
